creature exploration

In this process, I explored and established the snail’s signifying characteristics to create a simple yet legible icon. I applied it to a ceramics brand identity called bugzy.


graphic interpretation

Here, I experimented with the graphic components that represent the key traits of the snail, i.e., the shell, tail, antenna, and spiral. Through the use of the perfect circle, I created an orderly arrangement of positive and negative forms that also communicate a snail’s perseverance, curiosity, independence, strength, and tolerance.

bugzy is a handmade ceramics shop that sells unique pots, cups & bowls. each piece has a hand-carved snail on the bottom to signify the bugzy brand.
