Stage 1: Snail Icon Creation

April 2025



The creature mark icon is a geometric representation of the snail, using simple forms to communicate a clear identity.




These sketches explore the different forms and perspectives of a snail, identifying their key characteristics.

The use of negative space also experiments with how simplified but distinguishable a snail form can be.



The graphic components that represent the key traits of the snail, i.e., the shell, tail, antenna, and spiral, help the form be easily identified, even in a simple black and white icon.

Through the use of the perfect circle, an orderly arrangement of positive and negative forms communicates a snail’s

perseverance
curiosity
independence
strength
& tolerance.  

     

Stage 2: Bugzy
Brand Development

August 2025 - Present

Bugzy is a ceramic brand that uses the snail identity as its logo mark. Each pot, mug, plate, and bowl is signed with a hand-painted snail at the bottom of the piece.
     


The mark symbolizes the venture of making unique pieces, inspired by the snail’s sense of curiosity and independence. Experimentation leads the creative process, allowing each piece to speak for itself.
